The room was quiet when little Ronaldo woke up from his nap.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked around.

Mom wasn’t there.

Ronaldo sat quietly on the soft floor, waiting for her to return.

At first, he seemed calm.

He looked toward the doorway and listened carefully.

Maybe Mommy was coming.

But several moments passed, and she still hadn’t appeared.

Ronaldo’s little face slowly became sad.

His lips began to tremble.

“Mama…”

His tiny voice was soft and lonely.

He reached one little hand toward the doorway, hoping Mom would suddenly walk in.

But the room remained quiet.

A tiny tear rolled down his cheek.

Then Ronaldo began to cry.

“Waaaaah…”

His cry grew louder as he sat on the soft floor, looking desperately around for Mom.

He wasn’t interested in his toys.

He didn’t want to play.

He simply wanted the person who made him feel safe.

Ronaldo hugged his little blanket and continued crying.

Dad heard him and came into the room.

“Oh, little Ronaldo. Are you waiting for Mommy?”

Ronaldo looked at Dad for a moment, then turned toward the doorway again.

“Mama…”

Dad gently sat beside him and rubbed his back.

“Mommy will be back soon.”

But Ronaldo’s eyes remained fixed on the doorway.

He was still waiting.

Then, suddenly, he heard footsteps.

Ronaldo stopped crying.

His big eyes widened.

Mom appeared at the doorway.

“My baby!”

Ronaldo immediately stretched both arms toward her.

Mom hurried over and carefully picked him up.

The moment he reached her arms, his tears became quiet little sobs.

He buried his face against her shoulder and held onto her tightly.

“Oh, my poor little boy,” Mom whispered. “I’m here now.”

Ronaldo clung to her shirt as if he never wanted to let go.

Mom gently kissed his forehead and rubbed his back.

“I know you missed Mommy.”

Ronaldo gave a tiny sniffle.

Dad smiled.

“He waited for you the whole time.”

Mom hugged him even closer.

“You never have to worry, sweetheart. Mommy always comes back.”

Ronaldo slowly relaxed against her chest.

After a warm cuddle and a little milk, his sad expression disappeared.

His eyelids became heavy.

Mom gently rocked him while whispering, “You are never alone, my precious boy.”

Ronaldo rested his head against her shoulder and drifted peacefully to sleep.

The lonely little cries that had filled the room were gone.

All that remained was the soft sound of his breathing as he slept safely in Mommy’s loving arms.
