The morning was bright and peaceful as Daddy sat outside with little Jasmine.

He had prepared a soft blanket in the yard and gently placed Jasmine beside him.

“Come sit with Daddy, sweetheart,” he said lovingly.

At first, Jasmine looked around curiously.

She watched the leaves moving in the breeze and listened to the birds singing nearby.

Daddy smiled.

“It’s a beautiful morning.”

But little Jasmine didn’t seem impressed.

After only a few moments, her tiny face became moody.

She looked toward the house.

Then she looked back at Daddy.

Her little lips began to tremble.

“Eee… eee…”

Daddy gently rubbed her back.

“What’s wrong, little girl?”

Jasmine suddenly started crying.

“WAAAAAH!”

Daddy was surprised.

He picked her up and held her close, but Jasmine continued making unhappy little cries.

She stretched one tiny arm toward the house.

Daddy quickly understood.

“Are you looking for Mommy?”

Jasmine cried even louder.

She wasn’t satisfied sitting quietly outside.

She wanted Mom.

Daddy tried to distract her by showing her a little toy.

Jasmine glanced at it but quickly turned away.

He gently pointed toward the trees.

“Look, Jasmine. See the birds?”

She looked for a second, then began crying again.

Daddy smiled patiently.

“Okay, okay. Daddy knows what you want.”

He carefully carried her around the yard while keeping her safely supported.

Jasmine rested against his shoulder, but she continued making little whimpering sounds.

Daddy softly rubbed her back.

“Mommy is nearby, sweetheart. You are safe with Daddy.”

After a few minutes, Jasmine’s cries became quieter.

She looked around at the bright yard again.

A butterfly fluttered past the blanket.

Jasmine’s eyes followed it.

Her crying stopped for a moment.

Daddy smiled.

“That’s it. Look at the butterfly.”

Jasmine reached one tiny hand toward it.

For the first time that morning, a tiny smile appeared.

Daddy laughed softly.

“Finally!”

He sat back down with Jasmine safely beside him.

This time, she seemed calmer.

She leaned against Daddy’s arm and watched the leaves moving in the breeze.

Mom eventually came outside.

The moment Jasmine saw her, she reached both arms toward her.

Daddy laughed.

“I knew you were waiting for Mommy.”

Mom gently picked Jasmine up and gave her a warm cuddle.

Jasmine immediately relaxed against her.

Mom kissed her forehead.

“Did you miss me that much?”

Jasmine gave a tiny happy squeak.

Daddy smiled.

“She just needed a little reassurance.”

Mom nodded.

“Sometimes babies can’t explain what they want. They can only cry and reach for the person they trust.”

Jasmine rested peacefully between Mom and Dad, finally calm.

The morning that had begun with loud cries ended with a happy little family cuddle beneath the warm sunshine.

For Jasmine, the outdoors was beautiful—but having Mommy and Daddy close was what truly made her feel safe.
