The sun shone brightly over the jungle, and it was bath day for the mischievous monkey siblings: Misfortune, Cute, Precious, and Spoiled. Their mother, tired but determined, had spent the morning scrubbing each one clean in the little stream near their home.
“Now stay clean for at least a little while!” she said, shaking her head as water droplets flew from their fur.
But keeping the four baby monkeys out of trouble was no easy task. As soon as they were dry, they began chattering excitedly, their bellies rumbling in unison.
“I’m hungry!” cried Spoiled, tugging on Mom’s tail.
“Me too!” echoed Precious, twirling around on her tiny feet.
Mom sighed and handed them a basket of fresh fruits she had gathered. “Here you go. Sit down and eat together, and please try not to make a mess.”
The four siblings plopped down in a circle, eyeing the colorful fruits: bananas, mangos, and juicy red berries. Misfortune, always the clumsy one, reached for a mango but accidentally knocked over the entire basket. “Oops!” he said sheepishly as the fruits rolled in all directions.
“Misfortune!” Cute squealed, scrambling to grab a banana before it disappeared into the bushes. Precious quickly snatched a mango, holding it tightly as if it were the most valuable treasure in the world. Spoiled, of course, demanded the biggest piece of fruit, pouting until she got it.
Despite the chaos, the siblings soon settled down, munching happily and chatting in their squeaky voices. Their faces and hands were sticky with fruit juice, and their giggles echoed through the trees.
Mom watched from a distance, shaking her head but smiling at the sight. Even though they were a handful, she couldn’t help but adore their bond.
As the day went on, the four little monkeys learned a valuable lesson: no matter how messy life gets, it’s always sweeter when shared with family.
