It was a peaceful morning in the jungle when baby monkey Abi woke up to find her mother gone. “Where’s Mama?” she wondered aloud, her tiny face scrunching up in worry. But just as she started to pout, her big sister, Lila, appeared with a wide grin.

“Don’t worry, Abi,” Lila said cheerfully. “Mama’s gone to gather food, but we can have fun together until she gets back!” Abi’s eyes brightened instantly. She loved spending time with her big sister.

Lila led Abi to their favorite tree, a towering giant with thick branches perfect for climbing. “Let’s play a game!” Lila suggested. She tied a leafy vine into a swing and helped Abi climb on. Giggling, Abi held on tight as Lila gently pushed her. The higher she went, the louder her laughter became, echoing through the jungle.

After the swinging fun, Lila decided to teach Abi a new skill. “Watch me,” she said, balancing on a low branch with her arms outstretched. Abi copied her sister, wobbling at first but quickly finding her balance. “I did it, Lila!” Abi squealed with pride.

Next, the sisters searched for snacks. Lila showed Abi how to peel a banana properly. “You’re a natural!” Lila praised as Abi eagerly gobbled down her treat.

As the sun began to set, Abi grew tired. She nestled against Lila, her tiny arms wrapping around her sister. “Do you think Mama will be back soon?” Abi asked softly.

“She’ll be here before you know it,” Lila replied, stroking Abi’s head gently. “And she’ll be so happy to see what a brave and clever little monkey you’ve been today.”

When their mother finally returned, she found Abi fast asleep in Lila’s arms, a contented smile on her face. Seeing her daughters together warmed her heart.

For Abi, the day spent with her big sister wasn’t just fun—it was a reminder that even when Mom was away, love and care were always close by.`
