Little baby LeDuc looked around with wide, searching eyes. Something felt very wrong.
Mom wasn’t there.
At first, he made small, uneasy sounds.
“Eee… eee…”
His tiny body shifted nervously, and his hands moved as if trying to reach for someone who wasn’t close anymore.
Then suddenly—
“EEEEEE!”
LeDuc burst into a super strong cry, his voice loud and desperate. It echoed through the space, filled with panic and longing.
“Eee! Eee!”
He cried again and again, louder each time. His small body trembled as he turned his head quickly, trying to find Mom.
But she wasn’t in sight.
His cries became more intense, almost breathless, as if he was afraid of being alone. His tiny arms stretched forward, begging for comfort.
Every second felt too long.
Tears welled in his eyes as he continued calling, unable to calm himself.
Then—
A familiar sound.
Footsteps.
LeDuc paused for a split second, his cries breaking into softer sobs.
Mom rushed in.
The moment he saw her, he cried even louder—but this time, it was mixed with relief. He reached out immediately.
Mom picked him up without hesitation.
As soon as he felt her warmth, everything changed.
The loud cries slowly faded.
His body relaxed, clinging tightly to her as if he never wanted to let go again.
Now safe in her arms, LeDuc became quiet, his breathing soft and steady.
For little LeDuc, nothing in the world mattered more than finding Mom—and being held close once again.
