Little Lina was sitting on the floor that afternoon, watching Mom carefully. Usually when Lina reached out her tiny arms, Mom would pick her up and hold her close.
But today was different.
Mom was busy and needed Lina to stay on the floor for a while.
At first, Lina waited quietly. Her big eyes followed Mom around the room, hoping she would come soon.
But when Mom didn’t pick her up, Lina’s mood quickly changed.
Her tiny face became upset, and her lips started to tremble. She stretched both arms toward Mom, silently asking to be lifted.
When Mom still didn’t come, Lina couldn’t hold her feelings anymore.

The poor baby monkey began screaming loudly.
Lina rolled slightly on the floor and waved her tiny arms in the air, crying with all her strength. Her sharp voice filled the room as she protested loudly.
“Eeee! Eeee!”
She kicked her small feet and looked straight at Mom, clearly angry that she wasn’t being picked up.
For Lina, Mom’s arms were the safest and most comfortable place in the world.
Mom watched the dramatic scene with patience. She gently spoke to Lina from nearby, trying to calm her down even without picking her up immediately.
After a few moments, the loud crying slowly became softer.
Lina’s angry screams turned into small sniffles as she began to calm down.
Finally, Mom walked over and gently lifted her.
The moment Lina felt the warm hug, the crying stopped almost instantly. She rested quietly against Mom, finally feeling the comfort she had been asking for.
