Little Selena was feeling very impatient that day. She was waiting for Mom, but Mom was busy doing something nearby.
At first, Selena sat quietly.
But the longer she waited, the more impatient she became. Her tiny eyes kept looking around, hoping Mom would come quickly.
When Mom still didn’t arrive, Selena decided to do something about it.
She opened her super big mouth and shouted as loudly as she could.
“EEEEEE!”
Her loud voice echoed through the room. The little monkey waved her tiny hands and leaned forward, clearly trying to get Mom’s attention.
Selena shouted again.
“Eeeee! Eeee!”
It sounded like she was calling Mom to hurry up. Her dramatic voice made it impossible for anyone nearby to ignore her.
The noisy little monkey kept calling loudly, opening her mouth wide every time she cried out.
Mom soon heard the strong voice.
She turned around and walked toward Selena to see what was wrong. The moment Selena saw Mom coming closer, she became even more excited.
Her loud calling slowly turned into happy sounds.
Soon Mom stood beside her, smiling at the energetic baby monkey. Selena calmed down, satisfied that Mom had finally come.
Sometimes Selena doesn’t like waiting.
