Little baby Lily sat on the ground looking very upset. Her tiny face was red, and tears were rolling down her cheeks.
She had been waiting for Mom’s attention for a while.
But Mom was busy and didn’t come to take care of her right away. For a small baby like Lily, that felt very lonely and frustrating.
Suddenly, Lily couldn’t hold her feelings anymore.
“Eeeee! Eeeee!”
She burst into a loud crying tantrum.
The poor baby monkey lay on the ground kicking her little feet and waving her tiny arms angrily. Her cries echoed loudly as she called for Mom again and again.
Lily’s face showed both sadness and anger.
She wanted Mom to come close, pick her up, and comfort her. But when Mom didn’t come immediately, Lily cried even louder, rolling slightly on the ground in frustration.
“Eeeeeee!”
Her small body trembled as the tantrum continued. It was clear she felt hurt and ignored.
After hearing the loud cries, Mom finally came over to see what was wrong.
The moment Lily saw Mom approaching, she stretched both tiny arms upward while still crying. She wanted to be held more than anything.
Mom gently lifted her from the ground and held her close.
Slowly, Lily’s loud crying began to fade into soft sniffles. Resting against Mom’s warm chest, the upset little monkey finally started to calm down.
Sometimes babies don’t know how to say what they need.
All Lily wanted was love, attention, and Mom’s comforting arms.
