It was a peaceful morning, the first rays of sunlight streaming into the cozy house. In her little corner, baby monkey Kyo stirred awake, her soft blanket slipping off her tiny body. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and let out a small yawn. But instead of crying for attention, like most mornings, Kyo had something else on her mind.
The clever little monkey sat up, her eyes scanning the room. With a determined expression, she climbed down from her bed. Her small feet padded softly on the floor as she headed toward the bathroom.
Mom, busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast, peeked out and smiled in surprise. “Is Kyo really doing what I think she’s doing?” she murmured to herself, watching her smart little one navigate the hallway.
Kyo reached the bathroom, pushed the slightly ajar door open, and stepped inside. She climbed onto the toddler potty set up just for her. Sitting there, she looked so proud, as if she knew she was accomplishing something remarkable.
Mom quietly tiptoed closer, peeking through the door. She couldn’t believe her eyes—her baby was growing up so fast! Once Kyo finished, she grabbed a small tissue from the box nearby, mimicking the actions she had seen Mom do countless times.
“Kyo, you’re amazing!” Mom exclaimed, clapping her hands as she stepped in.
Kyo turned and gave her mom a big grin, her tiny tail wagging with excitement. “Ee-ee!” she squeaked proudly, pointing at the potty.
Mom scooped her up in a hug. “You’re such a smart girl! Let’s wash your hands and get some breakfast, my little genius.”
As the day began, Kyo’s independent act became the highlight of the morning, leaving Mom beaming with pride.
