Early in the morning, little baby monkey Nika was already awake. Sitting on the small table, she looked around the room with her big round eyes, expecting to see Mom coming with her milk bottle.
But Mom had not arrived yet.
Nika’s tiny tummy was already feeling very hungry. She rubbed her little hands together and looked toward the door again and again.
Still no Mom.
Slowly, her cute face began to change into a moody expression. Her lips pushed forward, and her eyebrows tightened as she started feeling impatient.
Then suddenly—
“Eeeee! Eeee!”
Nika screamed loudly.
Her sharp cry filled the room as she stomped her tiny feet on the table. The hungry baby monkey could not wait any longer.
She looked toward the kitchen and screamed again.
“Eeeeeee!”
Nika waved her little arms angrily, clearly upset that Mom was taking too long to bring her milk. Every few seconds she stood up, stretched her neck forward, and tried to see if Mom was coming.
But the bottle was still not there.
Her cries became louder and more dramatic. The moody little monkey even sat down with a grumpy face, making tiny complaining sounds while waiting.
Finally, Mom heard Nika’s impatient screaming.
She quickly came into the room holding the milk bottle.
The moment Nika saw it, her angry face changed instantly. Her eyes became wide and excited, and she jumped up eagerly.
Mom picked her up and placed the bottle into her tiny hands.
Nika quickly grabbed it and began drinking hungrily.
In just a few seconds, the loud screaming disappeared.
Now the once-moody baby monkey sat quietly, happily enjoying the milk she had been waiting for so long.
