Abandoned Baby Screams for Mom

Comments Off on Abandoned Baby Screams for Mom

The sun was already dipping behind the tall grass when the tiny baby monkey realized something was terribly wrong. One moment, he had been clinging to his mother’s fur while she searched the ground for food… and the next, she was gone. The world around him suddenly felt too big, too cold, too loud.

He sat in the middle of the field, his little chest rising fast with panic.
“Eeeh! Eeeh!” he cried, his voice sharp and trembling.
His tiny hands pulled at the grass as if he could grab something familiar—something safe—but everything felt strange without Mom’s warmth.

A small breeze brushed over him, making him shiver. He looked in every direction, eyes wide and watery, searching for her shape. But the field stretched endlessly, empty and frightening. His heart thumped so hard it seemed almost louder than his screams.

He tried to stand, but his legs wobbled and collapsed beneath him. He wasn’t used to being on the ground alone. He wasn’t used to anything without her.
“Mom…? Mom…?” his cries grew sharper, echoing softly through the field.

Each sound he made seemed to only remind him of his loneliness. The silence that followed was worse. It pressed against him, making him curl into a small trembling ball. His scream broke again—high, desperate, heartbreaking.

Still no answer.

He lifted his tiny face toward the trees, hoping she would appear, hoping she would run back, scoop him up, hold him close and make the world feel safe again. But the shadows only grew longer.

He hugged his own arms for comfort, rocking slightly as tears rolled down his cheeks.

In that huge empty field, the tiniest little monkey screamed his fear into the wind—waiting, hoping, begging for the mother who never came back.
