The tiny baby monkey’s body was covered in red spots—angry marks scattered across his face, chest, and arms. Just looking at him made Daddy’s heart tighten. The little one was clearly uncomfortable, scratching and shifting restlessly as if hoping the irritation would disappear on its own. Daddy knew there was only one choice—a gentle bath with warm water to soothe the irritated skin and wash away whatever was causing the reaction.
But for a newborn like him, even a simple bath felt like a life-changing event.
As Daddy lowered him toward the basin of warm water, the baby stiffened with fear. His fragile body began shaking, and his big round eyes widened in panic. Even before he touched the water, he let out a trembling wail, as if begging for the comfort of his mother instead.
The first splash of warmth made him cry louder. His tiny fingers curled into fists, his tail twitched, and his voice filled the room with heartbreaking cries. It wasn’t pain—just fear, confusion, and the overwhelming feeling of being so small in a world he didn’t yet understand.
Daddy worked as gently as possible, using soft cotton and warm water to wipe away dirt, sweat, and irritation. With each slow pass, the water carried away tiny flakes and dust that had been sitting against his sensitive skin. Little by little, the baby’s cries softened. His breathing steadied, and he looked up toward Daddy’s face as if slowly realizing he wasn’t in danger—he was being cared for.
When the bath was finished, Daddy wrapped him in a soft towel and held him close. The red spots were still there, but the baby seemed calmer, warmer, and safer.
Daddy kissed the fragile head and whispered promises of better days ahead.
For the first time that day, the little monkey closed his eyes—not in fear, but in comfort and trust.
