Jasmine Makes a Mangosteen Mess Everywhere

Baby Jasmine had always been a curious little monkey, but today her curiosity led her into one of the funniest snack moments of her life. Mom had brought home a fresh mangosteen—a soft, sweet fruit Jasmine absolutely loved. The moment she saw it, her eyes widened, her tail wiggled excitedly, and she rushed over without a second thought.

Mom peeled the fruit open and placed it gently in Jasmine’s tiny hands. That was the beginning of the disaster—an adorable, hilarious disaster. Jasmine didn’t eat slowly or carefully like a polite baby. No, she squeezed the mangosteen so hard that purple juice exploded across her cheeks, her forehead, her chin, and even her tiny nose.

Instead of stopping, Jasmine just kept going. She smacked her lips, stuffed big pieces into her mouth, and made satisfied little grunts as she chewed. Every bite seemed to make her more excited, and every chew made her face messier.

Mom watched, partly shocked and partly laughing. Jasmine looked like she had just finished wrestling a purple monster—and lost. But Jasmine didn’t care at all. She was too focused on enjoying her treat.

Sometimes she paused, looked up at Mom with juice dripping from her mouth, and flashed a wide, innocent grin as if asking, “Isn’t this the best snack ever?” Her fingers kept sticking together, her fur kept getting stickier, but she kept eating with total happiness.

When the mangosteen was finally finished, Jasmine sat there proudly, covered in purple stains from brow to belly. She didn’t even notice the mess—she just leaned back with a full tummy and a satisfied little wiggle.

Mom sighed and picked her up, knowing a bath was coming immediately. Jasmine, still smiling, rested her head against Mom’s shoulder, as if saying, “Worth it.”

And it was—because nothing is happier than a baby monkey enjoying her favorite fruit with her whole heart.
