Little Bunny had always been a sensitive baby, especially when it came to bath time. She loved being clean, but she felt safest only when Mom was holding her. Mom’s hands were gentle, warm, and secure, and Bunny always relaxed the moment she felt those familiar arms supporting her small body. But today, Mom was busy preparing warm clothes, so Daddy offered to give the bath instead.
Daddy meant well, but he wasn’t used to washing such a tiny baby. When he picked Bunny up, his hand slipped just a little, holding her in a way that felt unsteady and scary. Bunny froze for a moment, her tiny heart thumping loudly inside her little chest. Then suddenly, fear rushed over her, and she let out a sharp, panicked cry.
Her eyes grew wide, her mouth opened in a shaky scream, and she grabbed desperately for someone to hold her properly. Daddy was stunned. He wasn’t hurting her, but she didn’t understand that—she only felt that she was going to fall.
Daddy quickly tried to adjust his grip, but Bunny was trembling now. Tears rolled down her soft cheeks as she squealed louder and louder, pleading in her own tiny voice for help.
Mom heard the commotion from the next room and rushed over. The moment Bunny saw her, she reached out with both little arms, begging to be rescued. Mom took her gently and held her close against her chest. Bunny clung to her like she had just been saved from disaster.
Daddy felt guilty, apologizing and promising he would learn how to support her better next time. Mom smiled and told him it would take practice.
As Bunny calmed down, her breathing slowed, tiny fingers still gripping her mother’s fur. Wrapped safely again, she finally relaxed—knowing she was in the arms that always understood her fears.
