Tantan Cries Loudly as Mom Feeds Him Late

The golden afternoon light filled the little house, but baby monkey Tantan was in no mood to enjoy it. His tiny stomach growled from hunger, and his patience had completely run out. He sat on the floor, small arms crossed, face scrunched up in frustration. His mom was still in the kitchen, preparing his food a bit later than usual, and that was enough to send Tantan into a full tantrum.

At first, he whimpered softly, hoping she’d notice. But when the minutes dragged on, his little cries grew louder — sharp, echoing, and filled with anger. “Eee! Eee! Eee!” His voice rose and cracked as tears welled up in his eyes. He stomped his tiny hands on the mat, tail twitching restlessly behind him.

Mom called out gently from the kitchen, “Just one more minute, Tantan!” But that only made him cry louder. His hungry belly and impatient little heart couldn’t understand why food wasn’t ready yet. He threw himself backward dramatically, kicking his legs in protest, his cries echoing through the room.

When Mom finally came out holding his small bowl, she was met with the sight of a very angry baby monkey. His fur was slightly messy, his lips trembling, and his face full of emotion. “Oh, my little drama king,” she said softly, setting the bowl in front of him. But Tantan turned his face away at first, still showing his frustration.

Mom kneeled beside him, gently stroking his cheek. “I know, sweetheart. You were hungry. I’m sorry.” Her calm voice began to soothe him. Slowly, Tantan peeked at the bowl — his favorite mashed fruit. His crying quieted, and after a few deep breaths, he reached out his tiny hands to eat.

The first bite made his frown fade instantly. His tail wiggled as he began eating eagerly, his little eyes sparkling again. Mom smiled, relieved, watching her baby’s mood change so quickly from fury to joy.

After finishing, Tantan cuddled close to Mom, eyes half-closing with comfort. The room that had echoed with loud cries just moments before was now peaceful again — filled with warmth, forgiveness, and the soft hum of a full, happy belly.
