Yuri Suddenly Screams and Cries

It was a peaceful afternoon in the yard. The gentle wind swayed the leaves, and baby monkey Yuri sat quietly beside her mom, playing with a small piece of banana peel. Everything seemed calm — until suddenly, the silence was shattered by a loud, heartbreaking scream.

“Eee-eee-eee!” Yuri cried out, her tiny body shaking. Her mom froze, startled by the sudden sound. She turned quickly, her heart racing, scanning Yuri from head to toe. Nothing seemed wrong — no scratches, no bugs, no falls. Yet Yuri continued crying, her voice trembling with fear and confusion.

Mom hurried closer, gently cupping Yuri’s little face. “What’s wrong, baby?” her eyes seemed to ask. But Yuri only cried louder, clutching onto Mom’s arm tightly as if she was terrified of something unseen. Her tears streamed down her cheeks, and her breathing turned short and uneven.

Mom held her close, rocking her gently in her arms, whispering soothing sounds. Still, Yuri whimpered and buried her face deep into Mom’s chest. It was as if her tiny heart had been startled by a bad dream, or maybe a sudden memory of being alone. The air around them grew still again, filled only with the soft sound of Yuri’s sobs.

After a few minutes, her cries began to fade. Mom kept stroking her back tenderly, humming softly as she often did to calm her baby. Slowly, Yuri’s body relaxed, her little hands loosening their tight grip. She sniffled a few times, hiccuping quietly between small sighs.

Mom checked her one more time, touching her belly, her feet, her tail — still, no sign of pain. It was just one of those mysterious moments where a baby cries without reason — when emotions overflow and words can’t explain.

Finally, Mom kissed Yuri’s forehead and held her close. The little one’s eyes fluttered shut, exhausted from the sudden wave of feelings. In her mother’s embrace, she found peace again.

As the sun set behind the trees, the yard returned to its calm rhythm. Mom didn’t know what had frightened her baby, but one thing was certain — she would always be there, ready to comfort her no matter what.
