Doddy Throws Tantrum for Late Milk

The afternoon sun beamed gently across the yard, casting long golden rays through the window. Most of the monkeys were resting quietly after lunch, but not baby Doddy. His tiny tummy had started rumbling again, and his eyes searched the room for one person — Dad.

Dad was busy at the corner table, focused on finishing his work. Papers and tools surrounded him, and he hadn’t noticed the little one’s growing impatience. At first, Doddy waited quietly, sucking his thumb and fidgeting with his tail. But when minutes passed and no milk appeared, the silence broke.

“Eee! Eee!” came the sharp cry. Dad turned slightly, smiling tiredly. “Just a moment, Doddy. Daddy’s almost done.”

That answer didn’t satisfy the hungry baby. His tiny face wrinkled, and his eyes filled with tears. He stomped his feet, puffed up his cheeks, and screamed louder, his whole body shaking in protest.

It was a full-blown tantrum — Doddy-style. He flopped backward, rolling on the floor, kicking his legs in the air while crying furiously. Every time Dad looked away, Doddy made sure to scream louder, determined to get his attention.

Finally, Dad stood up, half laughing, half exasperated. “Alright, alright! My bossy little one wins again!” he said, walking toward the kitchen. Doddy stopped mid-cry, peeking through teary eyes as if to make sure Dad was really preparing the milk this time.

Within moments, the familiar smell of warm milk drifted through the air. Doddy straightened up, eyes sparkling again. His anger faded as quickly as it had come.

Dad walked back with the bottle, crouched beside him, and smiled softly. “You really can’t wait, huh?” he teased. Doddy grabbed the milk with both hands, drinking eagerly, his tail swishing with relief.

After a few sips, he looked up at Dad, cheeks puffed and eyes half-closed with happiness. All the frustration was gone — replaced by pure comfort.

Dad stroked his tiny head and whispered, “You’re such a little drama prince, Doddy.”

The baby monkey let out a soft sigh, curling into his dad’s arms, the world once again calm and warm — just the way he liked it.
