It was early morning, and baby monkey Kobie was already wide awake. His tummy growled loudly, and he knew exactly what he wanted — milk! The moment he saw Mom getting his bottle ready, he started jumping up and down, squeaking impatiently as if to say, “Hurry up, Mom! I’m starving!”
Mom was doing her best, quickly mixing the warm milk while trying to calm him. “Just a minute, Kobie,” she said softly. But Kobie wasn’t having it. He let out a loud squeal, his tiny eyebrows scrunched in anger. His tail flicked, and he began pacing in tiny circles, looking up at Mom with the funniest little glare.
“Almost done, sweetheart,” Mom laughed, shaking the bottle. But Kobie kept chirping louder and louder, tapping her arm as if urging her to move faster. His small face turned red from frustration, and his little hands reached out toward the bottle impatiently. He wanted it now!
Finally, the milk was ready. Before Mom could even sit down, Kobie snatched the bottle and started drinking greedily, both hands holding it tight. His angry face slowly melted into calm satisfaction, his eyes half-closing as the warm milk filled his tummy.
Mom watched with a smile, shaking her head. “You’re such a little drama king,” she said gently. Kobie ignored her — he was too busy drinking, making tiny slurping sounds that filled the quiet room.
When he finished, he gave a small hiccup, looked at Mom, and then cuddled into her chest, all his anger forgotten. His soft fur brushed against her cheek, and she couldn’t help but laugh. “See? No need to be angry, my silly boy.”
Mom rocked him gently as he drifted into a happy nap, milk still on his lips. Moments like this reminded her how much love filled their little home — even in the middle of tiny tantrums.
Because in the end, Kobie wasn’t really angry… he was just hungry and full of baby monkey emotions — and that made him even more adorable.
