Heartbroken Lyka Cries for Mom at Home

It was a quiet afternoon at home when baby Lyka began to cry uncontrollably. The little monkey sat on the cool tiled floor, her soft fur trembling as tiny tears rolled down her cheeks. Her mom had stepped out for just a while, but to Lyka, even a few minutes felt like forever. She didn’t understand — all she knew was that her world felt empty without the warmth of her mother’s arms.

Lyka crawled to the door, pressing her tiny hands against it, looking around as if her mom might appear any second. Her sad, wide eyes darted from corner to corner, searching for that familiar face. When she didn’t find her, she let out a heartbreaking cry — long, sharp, and full of loneliness.

She rolled on the ground, kicking her legs gently, her cries echoing through the quiet house. Her favorite blanket lay beside her, but it didn’t help; nothing could replace the comfort of her mother’s touch. Every sound outside — a bird call, a soft breeze — made her lift her head in hope, only for her little heart to sink again.

After a while, Dad entered the room, hearing her cries. “Oh, Lyka…” he whispered, kneeling beside her. He scooped her up gently, cradling her close to his chest. Lyka clung to him immediately, her sobs muffled against his shirt. He rocked her slowly, rubbing her back, his voice soothing and warm. “Mommy will be back soon, sweetheart. You’re safe.”

The soft rhythm of his heartbeat calmed her down. Her eyes fluttered sleepily, her tiny hands still clutching his shirt tightly. Within minutes, she drifted off to sleep in his arms — no longer scared, just comforted by love and the promise that her family would always come back.
