It started as a normal sunny morning — the kind where little Chamroeun and Minea usually played together in the yard, chasing toys and climbing on low branches. Both were full of energy, always finding new ways to make mischief. But today, something went wrong.
Chamroeun reached for a piece of fruit on the mat — the same one Minea had been eyeing. In a quick flash of temper, Minea pushed him away. The shove was stronger than she meant, and poor Chamroeun lost his balance.
He tumbled backward, landing on the floor with a loud thud! For a second, there was silence. Then came the heartbreaking cry — a sharp, frightened wail that filled the whole place. 😭
Minea froze, realizing what she had done. Her playful grin disappeared, replaced by guilt and fear. Chamroeun’s tiny hands covered his face as tears rolled down his cheeks. He didn’t understand why his best friend had hurt him.
Their caretaker rushed over, scooping Chamroeun gently into her arms. “It’s okay, my baby,” she whispered, checking his back and brushing the dust off his fur. His cry softened, but his little heart was still aching.
Minea stood nearby, ears drooping, too ashamed to come closer. After a moment, she slowly approached, touching Chamroeun’s hand with hers. He sniffled, looked at her, and — after a tiny pause — gave a small nod. Forgiveness, pure and simple, from one baby heart to another.
Soon, they were sitting side by side again, sharing the same fruit that had caused the fight. Chamroeun smiled weakly, and Minea leaned against him, promising silently not to hurt him again.
It was just a small fall, but it taught them something big — that friendship is stronger than anger.
