Little Tomi, a newborn baby monkey, was rescued in fragile condition — weak, thin, and crying softly. The rescuers tried everything to help him grow stronger. They gave him warm formula milk like other rescued babies, but soon something terrible happened.
Within minutes of drinking, Tomi began to cough and scratch his tiny face. His belly swelled painfully, and his skin developed small red patches. The caretaker’s heart sank — Tomi was allergic to the milk formula. They stopped immediately, worried that even a few more drops could make him sick.
For days, they searched for a solution. Tomi refused other supplements, turning his face away in pain and confusion. His cries grew weaker, his body losing strength. Everyone feared the worst — until one morning, a caretaker peeled a soft, ripe banana and gently placed it near him.
To their surprise, Tomi sniffed it, then took a tiny bite. He chewed slowly, his eyes brightening for the first time in days. Bite after bite, he began to eat! The banana was gentle on his stomach and gave him the energy he desperately needed.
From that day, bananas became his main food. The caretakers mashed them into a smooth paste and fed him carefully, making sure he got enough to grow. Bit by bit, Tomi began to recover — his fur grew softer, and his cries became cheerful again.
Though his diet was unusual, the little monkey had found a way to live and thrive. Every time he saw a banana now, he squeaked with joy, reaching his hands out eagerly.
For baby Tomi, a simple banana wasn’t just food — it was life, hope, and healing.
