It had been four weeks since tiny baby monkey Loui found his forever home. When he was first rescued, he was barely able to open his eyes, his cries soft and uncertain. Now, a month later, his world had completely changed. He had warm arms to hold him, soft blankets to sleep on, and gentle voices that whispered his name with love.
But little Loui was still very young—so young that he had no teeth yet. His pink gums showed whenever he yawned or made his adorable little squeaks. While other monkeys around him started nibbling bits of fruit or trying to chew leaves, Loui still depended entirely on his bottle of milk. And that was perfectly fine with his caregivers, who adored every moment spent feeding him.
Each morning, Loui would stretch his tiny arms, waiting impatiently for his milk. His round belly and big eyes made him look like a baby full of innocence. Sometimes, he would gum the bottle’s tip, trying to chew even though nothing but soft gums touched it. The caretakers couldn’t help but laugh at his determination.
During playtime, Loui showed his growing curiosity. He loved clinging to fingers, climbing onto small towels, and cuddling close when sleepy. His caretakers often stroked his fur and whispered, “You’re still our little baby, no teeth and all.”
Though he might still be toothless, Loui was full of spirit. Every week brought small signs of growth—brighter eyes, stronger hands, louder calls. His first teeth would come soon, but for now, his gummy smile was part of what made him so irresistibly cute.
In just four weeks, Loui had gone from a frightened newborn to a beloved baby, safe, loved, and growing each day in the warmth of his new home.
