Little Lily was just a tiny baby monkey, soft fur still fluffy and delicate. It was her first time facing the bath, and she didn’t understand what was happening. The water in the tub looked so strange, rippling and moving like it was alive. To her innocent eyes, it was frightening.
When Daddy gently lowered her toward the warm water, Lily’s face crumpled. Tears welled up in her big round eyes, and she let out a pitiful cry. Her small arms clung tightly to Daddy’s hand, refusing to let go. Every drop of water that touched her fur made her flinch, and her whimpers grew louder.
