Little Ting Ting, a playful and curious baby monkey, had always been full of energy. She loved climbing, swinging, and jumping around with her friends. But today, her joyful play ended in sudden misery.
While chasing after a falling leaf, Ting Ting slipped off a low branch and tumbled to the ground. A sharp cry echoed through the air as she landed hard on her side. Within moments, she was screaming loudly, her tiny voice filled with pain and fear.
Caregivers rushed over and found her curled up on the ground, shaking and sobbing. Her little arm was scratched and beginning to swell. Ting Ting held it close, crying uncontrollably, her face wrinkled in distress, tears streaking her fur.
They gently scooped her up and wrapped her in a soft towel. Her cries didn’t stop. She was hurting, and more than anything, she was scared. She looked around for her mom, letting out desperate squeals like a lost child in need of comfort.
At the clinic, the caregiver cleaned her wound with warm water, whispering soothing words. Though she winced at every touch, she slowly calmed under their care. Her cries softened to whimpers as she felt the kindness and safety around her.
After her wound was treated and bandaged, Ting Ting was held close against a warm chest, gently rocked to sleep. Her breathing steadied, and her tears finally dried.
Ting Ting may have been hurt, but she was not alone. With love, patience, and time, she would heal—not just her body, but her frightened little heart too.
