Libby’s Harsh Habit Hurts Baby Lily

Every morning, little Lily opened her eyes with hope—hoping today would be different. But each day, her mother Libby’s mood seemed colder than the last.

Lily was a gentle baby, always trying her best to follow. She loved cuddles, soft touches, and the warmth of her mom’s fur. But Libby rarely offered any of that. Instead, she barked at Lily when she got too close, pushed her away during feeding time, and sometimes even pulled her roughly without reason.

The others noticed.

Lily would sit alone in the corner after being scolded, her big eyes filled with confusion. She didn’t understand what she had done wrong. She’d stare at Libby from afar, longing for her attention—just a moment of love.

One morning, as Libby prepared food, Lily crawled quietly behind her, hoping to sneak in a little hug.

Without even turning around, Libby snapped and swatted her away.

Lily tumbled back gently, not hurt—just heartbroken.

She didn’t cry loudly. She just curled into a ball and let a soft whimper escape, her little heart full of sadness. Another routine morning… of rejection.

But today, a caregiver was watching.

She gently approached Lily, scooped her up in a warm blanket, and whispered softly, “It’s okay, sweet girl. You’re not alone.”

For the first time in a long while, Lily felt warmth—genuine, comforting love. She looked up and blinked slowly, her tiny hand resting against the caretaker’s cheek.

She might not understand why Mom Libby was so harsh, but at least now, someone cared.
