Baby Tinky was already having a rough day. He hadn’t eaten yet, and his tiny stomach was growling nonstop. He sat on the dusty ground, eyes wide and hopeful, when he saw a man approach—holding a bright yellow banana.
Tinky’s face lit up instantly. His little hands reached forward, and he bounced with excitement.
But instead of giving the fruit, the man pulled it back with a teasing laugh.
Tinky froze, confused.
Then the man offered it again… only to yank it away once more.
Tinky’s joy crumbled. His lips quivered. His tiny hands shook.
Then came the scream.
“WAAAHHHHH!!”
He began crying uncontrollably, his body jerking in frustration, his voice high-pitched and sharp. It was more than just a cry—it was a heartbroken, seizure-like reaction of pure pain and confusion.
Why would someone trick him like that?
Nearby caretakers noticed immediately and rushed over.
“Tinky, it’s okay!” one of them said, scooping him up gently. The man, now looking embarrassed, stepped back.
Tinky continued crying, hiccuping between sobs, his little fists clenched tightly. His body shook—not from cold, but from the emotional storm inside him.
One of the caretakers quickly peeled a fresh banana and placed it near his lips.
At first, Tinky refused, turning his head away, still hurt.
But after a moment, he peeked back at the banana… then slowly leaned forward. One bite, then another, and his cries finally softened.
Tears still clung to his fur, but his stomach began to settle. He nestled into the caretaker’s chest, safe again.
No baby should ever be teased with kindness—especially not when they’re hungry.
