TanTan Cries Loudly on the Table, Begging Mom to Pick Him Up

TanTan was not having a good day.

He had been placed gently on the wooden table for some solo playtime, surrounded by soft toys and snacks. But today, he didn’t care about any of it.

He wanted Mom. Only Mom.

At first, he sat quietly, looking around.
Then he let out a small whimper.
Then a louder one.
And suddenly—“WAAAHHHH!!”

TanTan threw his head back dramatically and began to cry with everything he had. His little fists pounded the table, feet kicked in frustration, and his voice echoed through the room like a siren.

“MAAAMAAAAA!!” he wailed.

He wasn’t hurt. He wasn’t hungry. He was just… done.
Done with being alone. Done with waiting. Done with being ignored.

Across the room, Mom turned her head quickly. She had only stepped away for a moment to get fresh fruit—but TanTan didn’t care. He thought she had abandoned him forever.

She rushed over, eyes full of concern. “TanTan! What happened?”

But TanTan didn’t even let her finish. The moment he saw her, he reached up with both arms, still crying loudly, his face wet with tears.

Mom scooped him into her arms, and instantly—silence. His head tucked under her chin, his body relaxed, and his breath slowed.

“Oh, my moody little prince,” she whispered with a smile, “You just missed me, huh?”

He let out a soft sniffle and gave one final, dramatic sigh as if to say, “Finally.”

Sometimes, it’s not about toys or snacks.
Sometimes, a baby monkey just wants his mom—and he’s not afraid to make that crystal clear.
