It was bath time, but Baby Luna had something else in mind—her lovely milk bottle. She had just gotten cozy in her little tub, warm water rippling gently around her, when her mom gently reached for the milk bottle sitting beside her.
In that instant, Luna’s eyes widened. She realized her precious bottle was being taken away, and the drama began.
A loud, sharp cry echoed through the bathroom. “WAAAHHH!” Luna wailed, her little arms splashing the water in protest. She didn’t care that she was mid-bath—she wanted her milk, and she wanted it now.
Mom paused, surprised by Luna’s sudden outburst. “Luna, sweetie, I’m just putting the bottle aside for now,” she explained calmly, but it didn’t matter. Luna’s face scrunched up in pure baby fury. Her tiny fists clenched, and she let out another cry, even louder than before.
She leaned forward in the tub, trying to grab the bottle back, but it was already out of reach. Water sloshed over the edge of the tub as Luna made her dramatic protest. Her mom couldn’t help but chuckle softly, even as she tried to soothe her fiery little girl.
“Alright, alright,” Mom smiled, picking up the bottle again and bringing it close. Instantly, Luna stopped crying. She sniffled, reached out, and clutched it close like a prized treasure.
With the bottle in her hands and the bath continuing, peace was restored. Luna leaned back against the tub wall, sipping contentedly, eyes fluttering as the warm milk and water calmed her.
Sometimes, bath time could wait—especially when it came to baby Luna and her beloved milk bottle. And for her, there was no greater betrayal than being separated from it—even for just a moment
