Little A Tong was known for being picky, but today, he was especially stubborn. His mom had decided it was time for him to switch to a new pacifier—one that was cleaner and better for him. But A Tong? He completely disagreed.
The moment Mom handed him the new pacifier, he took one sniff and threw it away with a dramatic whine. He crossed his tiny arms and pouted, looking at Mom with big, angry eyes.
“Nooo! I want my old one!” A Tong’s little voice screeched as he rolled onto his back, kicking his feet in frustration.
Mom tried to soothe him, gently pressing the new pacifier against his lips, but A Tong turned his head away stubbornly. He pointed toward his old pacifier, which sat on the shelf, looking a little worn out but clearly still his favorite.
When Mom refused to give it back, A Tong started crying louder, his tiny face scrunched up in frustration. Tears welled up in his big round eyes, and he threw himself on the ground in protest.
After a few minutes, Mom sighed, picked him up, and cuddled him close. She gently rubbed his back, trying to calm him down. Finally, after some time, she dipped the new pacifier in a bit of warm milk and offered it to him again.
A Tong hesitated, sniffed it carefully, and after a long pause… he finally accepted it!
Mom smiled, knowing that sometimes, a little patience was all it took to win a battle with a stubborn baby monkey. 🐵💕
