Yuri’s Dramatic Tantrum: No Touching Allowed

Baby monkey Yuri was in a terrible mood. Her tiny face was scrunched up, her fluffy tail flicking angrily as she sat on a wooden log, glaring at her mother.

Mom had only tried to fix the fur on Yuri’s head, but that was apparently the greatest offense in the world.

“No, no, no!” Yuri screeched, shaking her little hands in protest.

Her mother sighed, trying again, reaching out gently. But Yuri wasn’t having it. She threw herself backward onto the log, flailing her arms as if the sky was falling.

“I said NOOO!” she wailed, rolling onto her side dramatically.

Other monkeys nearby turned to look, amused by her over-the-top reaction. A young monkey snickered, whispering to his friend, “She’s being so dramatic again.”

Mom, however, was used to this behavior. She crossed her arms and simply waited for Yuri to finish her tantrum.

Realizing that no one was giving her extra attention, Yuri peeked up with one eye. Seeing that her mom was just standing there, she pouted even more and let out a long, exaggerated sigh.

Finally, after minutes of sulking, she slowly crawled closer to her mom.

“I’m still mad…” she mumbled.

Mom smiled, gently pulling her in for a hug. Yuri pretended to resist for a second, but soon enough, she melted into Mom’s arms, nuzzling into her fur.
