Little Jobi, the baby monkey, sat on the floor with a guilty look on his face. His tiny hands fidgeted as he glanced around, knowing he had made a mess. His mom had only turned away for a few moments, but that was enough time for Jobi to create trouble.
His mother, noticing the unpleasant smell, turned back and saw what had happened. Her eyes widened, and she let out a sigh. Jobi, realizing he was caught, quickly hugged himself and made a soft whining sound as if he could charm his way out of trouble.
She didn’t scold him, though. Instead, she carefully picked him up and placed him on a clean surface before starting to clean the mess. Jobi watched her closely, his tail twitching nervously. He didn’t like being separated from her, even for a short time.
As she worked, Jobi whimpered softly, shifting from side to side. He wanted her attention, but she was busy cleaning up. Not knowing what else to do, he let out a tiny cry, hoping she would come back to cuddle him.
When she finally finished, she turned to him with a gentle but firm expression. Jobi immediately reached out, wrapping his arms around her as if saying, Sorry, Mom! She sighed again, but this time with a small smile.
She lifted him up and held him close, nuzzling his soft fur. “You’re a troublemaker,” she whispered.
Jobi responded by letting out a tiny, happy squeak. He might have made a mess, but at least he still had his mom’s love.
