Little Tantan, a spoiled baby monkey, had been cuddled in his mom’s arms all morning. He loved the warmth, the soft fur, and the gentle rocking as she moved around. But when his mom finally decided to put him down on the soft grassy ground, everything changed.
The moment his tiny feet touched the earth, Tantan’s face twisted in frustration. He let out a sharp, ear-piercing scream, his tiny hands flailing in the air. His mother, used to his dramatic outbursts, simply looked at him and continued grooming herself.
But Tantan wasn’t giving up that easily. He rolled onto his back, kicking his legs furiously while letting out more angry cries. His tiny chest heaved as he wailed, demanding his mother pick him back up. The other monkeys nearby turned their heads, startled by the noise. Some younger ones giggled, while an older monkey simply shook his head, knowing Tantan’s tantrums too well.
Seeing that his mother wasn’t rushing to comfort him, Tantan crawled over to her, tugging at her arm with desperation. But instead of lifting him up, she gave him a quick, reassuring pat on the head and continued her business.
Tantan huffed. He puffed his cheeks and let out one last, dramatic scream before throwing himself onto the ground again. But this time, the effort left him tired. His wails softened, turning into soft whimpers, and soon, the little monkey simply sat there with a pout.
Eventually, his mother scooped him up, but only after he had calmed down. Tantan, though still moody, snuggled into her fur, realizing that maybe, just maybe, the ground wasn’t so bad after all.
