Baby monkey Jasmine was playing happily in her little corner when her mom decided to surprise her with a new toy. It was a soft, pink pig doll, something her mom thought she would love. But the moment Jasmine saw it, her reaction was completely unexpected.
As soon as the pig doll was placed in front of her, Jasmine froze. Her tiny eyes widened in shock, and she took a slow step back. The unfamiliar shape and size made her uneasy. Then, as if the toy had suddenly moved, Jasmine let out a loud, frightened scream and scrambled backward, knocking over a small basket of fruits in her panic.
Her mother watched, amused yet concerned, as Jasmine kept her distance. The little monkey’s tiny hands trembled as she hesitantly reached toward the toy, only to pull back at the last moment. She started making small, distressed noises, calling out to her mom for help.
Seeing her baby so scared, Jasmine’s mother gently approached her and picked up the pig doll, showing Jasmine that it was just a harmless toy. But Jasmine wasn’t convinced. She hid behind her mother’s arms, peeking out cautiously. When the toy was placed beside her again, she shook her head furiously and let out another frightened squeal.
After a few minutes, Jasmine’s curiosity started to outweigh her fear. She cautiously poked the pig doll with one tiny finger, then quickly retreated as if expecting it to fight back. But nothing happened. Slowly, she started touching it more, and her fear began to fade.
By the end of the day, Jasmine had finally accepted her new toy. Though she was still wary, she carried it around hesitantly. Her mother smiled, knowing that soon, Jasmine would grow to love it just as much as any of her other toys.
