
Alaska’s stomach rumbled loudly as he searched everywhere for something to eat. His tiny hands dug through leaves, peeked under branches, and even sniffed the air, hoping to catch the scent of food.
But there was nothing.
His face fell in disappointment. “Where is my food?” he mumbled, his tummy grumbling again.
Alaska sat on a rock, crossing his tiny arms. His lips pouted, and his eyes watered slightly. He had been so busy playing earlier that he forgot to look for food!
Now, it was too late—all the other monkeys had already eaten.
Just then, he heard footsteps.
Mom walked over, holding a ripe banana.
“Alaska, are you hungry?” she asked with a knowing smile.
His eyes lit up. He nodded so fast that his tiny ears wiggled.
Mom laughed and handed him the banana. “Next time, don’t forget to eat on time!”
Alaska peeled it open in seconds, taking a huge bite.
“Mmm! Thank you, Mom!” he mumbled with his mouth full
