Baby Alan Cries, Scared of Duck

Tiny Alan was exploring the yard when he heard a strange sound—

“QUACK! QUACK!”

Alan froze. His little ears twitched.

Then, from behind a bush, a big yellow duck waddled out!

Alan’s eyes went wide. What was THAT?!

The duck flapped its wings—FWOOSH!

Alan screamed.

“WAAAAAH!!!”

He jumped backward, tumbling onto his tiny bottom.

The duck waddled closer.

Alan’s little hands shook.

“MOOOOOM!!” he wailed, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Mom rushed over. “Alan, what’s wrong?!”

Alan pointed, trembling. “It’s a MONSTER!”

Mom looked at the duck—then back at Alan.

She laughed. “Oh, sweet boy, that’s just a duck!”

Alan sniffled. “But it’s scary!”

Mom picked him up, holding him close. “Look, Alan, the duck won’t hurt you.”

The duck tilted its head, staring at Alan.

Alan stared back.

The duck suddenly quacked again.

“QUAAAACK!!”

Alan yelped and buried his face in Mom’s chest.

Mom giggled. “Silly boy, it’s just saying hello!”

Slowly, Alan peeked.

The duck wasn’t attacking. It just… stood there.

Alan blinked.

“Maybe it’s not a monster?” he whispered.

Mom nodded. “That’s right. Do you want to say hi?”

Alan hesitated—then gave a tiny wave.

The duck quacked softly.

Alan giggled.

Maybe ducks weren’t so scary after all. 💛🐥
