Max was not happy.
His tiny belly was empty, and he wanted milk NOW!
At first, he tried to be patient. He sat, staring at mom with big, pleading eyes. But mom was taking too long. She was busy, moving around, doing things that weren’t giving him what he wanted.
That’s when Max lost it.
“WAAAHHHH!!”
A loud, dramatic cry burst from his tiny mouth. He threw himself backward, his little hands smacking the floor. His tail wiggled as he kicked the air in pure frustration.
Mom turned to look at him. “Max, just wait a second—”
“NOOOO!!” He screamed even louder, rolling from side to side. Tears ran down his cheeks as he made sure mom knew how serious this was.
The other baby monkeys peeked over, curious. One of them covered their ears. Max was LOUD.
Mom sighed and hurried to grab the formula milk.
Max, still crying, watched her closely. He sobbed louder when she took the bottle out, as if to remind her that she needed to move faster!
Finally, mom poured the warm milk into the bottle and walked toward him. Max immediately stopped crying. His tiny hands reached up, his sniffles fading as he grabbed the bottle.
He latched on instantly, drinking fast, his whole body relaxing.
Mom shook her head with a chuckle. “So much drama, Max.”
Max ignored her. His tummy was full, his tantrum forgotten.
