The tiny newborn baby monkey had just been rescued and brought to safety, but her little heart was still broken.
She sat curled up in a soft blanket, her tiny hands shaking as she looked around the new place. Everything was so different — no trees, no wild breeze, and worst of all… no mom.
Suddenly, the little one threw her head back and let out a loud, heartbreaking shout. “Waaaaaah!” Her tiny voice echoed through the room as if calling out, “Mom! Where are you?!”
Her cries were sharp and full of sadness. She missed the warmth of her mother’s fur, the gentle cuddles, and the safety of mom’s arms in the wild.
Mom (her human rescuer) rushed over and picked her up gently, cradling her close. “Shhh, baby. It’s okay. You’re safe now,” she whispered softly, rocking her back and forth. But the tiny monkey kept crying, her little hands reaching toward the sky, hoping her wild mom would come.
Mom kissed her tiny head, wrapping her tighter in the blanket. “I know you miss your mom, sweetheart. But I’m here now. I’ll take care of you.”
Slowly, the baby’s cries softened, though her eyes were still full of tears. She clung to mom’s shirt, finding a little comfort in her arms.
With gentle love and care, mom knew that one day this little baby would feel safe and happy again. But for now, all she needed was love and hugs to ease her broken heart.
