Oh no! Today was definitely a drama day in the monkey house — and little ATong was the star of the show!
ATong was sitting happily in the corner, holding his favorite toy — a soft, pink stuffed puppy he calls “Pinky Puppy.” He hugged it so tight, nibbling on its ear and patting it like his best friend. Everything was peaceful until mom decided it was time to clean Pinky Puppy.
As mom gently reached out and said, “Let me wash it, ATong,” he froze for a second… and then the storm began!
“ATOOOOOONG!” he screamed as loud as he could, holding Pinky Puppy tighter and turning away. His little face turned red with anger, and tears filled his eyes.
But mom had to take Pinky Puppy to clean it, so she carefully pulled it from his tiny hands. And oh my — ATong exploded! He stood up, stomping his little feet, and screamed louder than ever! His whole body was shaking, and he looked straight at mom like, “How could you do this to me?!”
Everyone in the room stopped and stared — even the other baby monkeys looked surprised! ATong threw his arms up, making dramatic sounds like he was telling the whole world about this big injustice.
Mom quickly picked him up, hugging him close, whispering, “It’s okay, baby, Pinky Puppy will come back clean and nice!” But ATong wasn’t having it — he kept fussing, reaching his hands out like, “Give it back now!”
Oh ATong, such a little drama king! But who can blame him? Everyone loves their favorite toy!
