Baby monkey Chamroeun was always full of energy and excitement. He hated waiting, especially when it came to food! Every morning, his mommy went to the kitchen to prepare his milk, and he was supposed to sit patiently.
But today, Chamroeun was extra impatient. His little tummy rumbled, and he couldn’t stand waiting any longer! He sat on a small wooden chair, wiggling his body restlessly. He kept looking toward the kitchen, hoping his mom would appear with his milk bottle.
“Mommy! Mommy!” he cried out loudly, kicking his feet.
But his mom was still busy. Chamroeun couldn’t wait anymore. He decided to climb down and run to the kitchen himself. But as he leaned forward—oops! His tiny hands slipped off the chair!
THUMP! Chamroeun fell straight to the floor!
For a moment, he froze in shock. Then—“WAAAH!” He burst into loud, dramatic crying. His little face wrinkled in frustration, and he kicked the floor in a tantrum.
Hearing the loud cry, Mommy rushed out from the kitchen! She quickly picked him up, patting his back gently. “Oh, Chamroeun! I told you to wait!” she sighed.
Chamroeun sniffled, clinging to her tightly. His tears were still fresh, but when his mom pulled out the warm milk bottle, he quickly grabbed it and started drinking.
Mommy chuckled. “Next time, be patient!”
But Chamroeun, happily drinking his milk, only cared about one thing—his tummy was finally full!
