In the quiet afternoon, little Jula was sitting peacefully on the wooden table, playing with a piece of cloth. She was enjoying her time alone, but her clingy younger sibling, Sovanny, had other plans.
Sovanny, full of energy, rushed over and clung tightly to Jula, wrapping his tiny arms around her like a stubborn vine. Jula groaned in frustration. “Let go!” she squeaked, trying to wiggle free. But Sovanny only held on tighter, pressing his face into Jula’s side.
Their mother, hearing the fuss, turned around and sighed. “Sovanny, stop annoying Jula,” she said, walking over. She gently tried to pull Sovanny away, but he wouldn’t budge.
Jula, now completely fed up, squealed and tried to push him off. “Mom, help!” she cried.
Mom gripped Sovanny’s arms and gave a small tug, but he still wouldn’t let go. “This little monkey is stuck like glue!” she muttered, shaking her head.
Sovanny whined, refusing to be separated. His big round eyes filled with tears as he clung harder. Jula groaned. “Ugh! He’s so annoying!”
Finally, their mother lifted Sovanny into her arms, breaking his grip on Jula. “Enough, little one. Give your sister some space!”
Sovanny pouted but snuggled against his mom. Jula sighed in relief, finally free. She crossed her arms and shot a playful glare at her brother.
Their mom chuckled. “One day, Jula, you’ll miss having your little shadow around.”
Jula rolled her eyes, but deep down, she knew she’d always love her sticky, annoying little brother.
