Mom to the Rescue: Vicky’s Bad Day

Little Vicky sat curled up in the corner of the room, her tiny body feeling weak and uncomfortable. Her usually bright eyes looked tired, and she didn’t have the energy to play like she always did. Something wasn’t right.

She let out a small whimper, hugging her arms around herself. Her tummy ached, and she felt dizzy. Where was Mom?

Just then, a familiar voice echoed through the house—Mom!

Vicky tried to call out but could only let out a faint cry. It didn’t take long before her mother rushed inside, eyes wide with worry.

“Vicky, my baby! What happened?” Mom crouched down and gently touched her forehead. She felt warm—too warm.

Vicky whimpered again, leaning into her mother’s touch. “Mom… I don’t feel good,” she mumbled weakly.

Mom’s heart tightened. Without hesitation, she scooped Vicky into her arms, holding her close. She stroked her back gently, rocking her to comfort her.

“Shhh, Mommy’s here,” she whispered. “You’re going to be okay.”

She quickly brought Vicky to a cozy spot, wrapping her in a soft blanket. Then, she fetched some cool water and wiped Vicky’s forehead with a damp cloth.

Vicky sniffled but slowly started to relax. Mom always knew how to make things better.

As she lay in her mother’s arms, the warmth of love surrounded her. She closed her eyes, feeling safe. Even though she wasn’t feeling well, she knew that with Mom by her side, she would get better soon.

Mom kissed her forehead gently. “Rest now, my sweet girl. Mommy’s right here.”

And with that, Vicky drifted off to sleep, comforted by the love of the one who cared for her the most.
