The sun was high, and little Max was feeling extra hungry. He had been playing all morning, running around and climbing small branches, but now all he wanted was something delicious to eat. His mom was busy picking fruits from a nearby tree, carefully selecting the ripest ones.

Max, excited for his meal, reached out his tiny hands, expecting his mom to hand him something immediately. But instead of giving him food, she gently set him down on the ground.

“Wait here, Max. I need to get more fruits,” Mom said before walking away.

Max’s eyes widened in disbelief. Wait? He didn’t want to wait! His stomach was grumbling, and he wanted food now!

He let out a loud, dramatic scream. “WAAAAH!!” His tiny voice echoed through the trees, making a few nearby birds flutter away.

Mom turned back, raising an eyebrow. “Max, be patient,” she said firmly.

But Max was not in the mood to listen. He stomped his little feet and clenched his fists, his tiny face scrunching up in frustration. “Nooo! I want it now!” he yelled, throwing himself onto the ground dramatically.

Mom sighed and shook her head. She continued picking fruits, ignoring Max’s tantrum.

Realizing that yelling wasn’t working, Max started rolling on the ground, kicking his legs and making even louder cries.

Then, after what felt like forever (but was actually just a few minutes), Mom finally returned. She held a juicy, golden banana in her hand. Max immediately stopped crying, sniffled a little, and sat up.

“Here,” Mom said, handing him the banana.

Max grabbed it quickly, stuffing it into his mouth with both hands. His tantrum was over, replaced by happy munching sounds.

Mom chuckled. “Next time, you should wait patiently.”

But Max just focused on eating, already forgetting his little drama.
