Little Zoey sat on the wooden floor, his tiny arms crossed over his chest, his lips trembling as he let out an angry whimper. His dad had just walked past him without picking him up, and that was something Zoey could not accept.
His small body shook as his cries grew louder. He stomped his tiny feet and threw his arms up in frustration. His dad, who had been busy fixing a basket nearby, glanced at him but didn’t come over immediately. That made Zoey even angrier.
He threw himself backward onto the floor, kicking his legs and wailing as if his whole world had crumbled. His little face scrunched up, tears rolling down his cheeks as he screamed louder and louder.
His dad finally turned and sighed. He knew Zoey could be dramatic, especially when he wanted attention. Still, he let the little one cry for a moment, knowing Zoey was trying to get his way.
But Zoey wasn’t giving up. He rolled over, crawled toward his dad, and grabbed onto his leg, looking up with teary eyes. His cries softened into sniffles as he tugged on his dad’s fur, desperate for a cuddle.
With a chuckle, his dad finally gave in, scooping Zoey up into his strong arms. The moment Zoey felt his dad’s warmth, his cries faded away. He buried his face into his dad’s chest, letting out a deep sigh of relief.
All he wanted was a hug, and now that he had it, everything felt right again. Within moments, the exhausted little monkey closed his eyes, snuggling closer, safe in his dad’s embrace. ❤️
