In a quiet village, an old man named Bao found an abandoned baby monkey near the river. The tiny creature clung to his shirt, shivering. Bao decided to raise it, naming it Miko.
Miko grew playful and smart, mimicking Bao’s every move. One day, Bao had an idea—could Miko learn to walk like a human?
Step by step, Bao began training Miko. At first, Miko wobbled, falling onto all fours. Bao laughed and encouraged him with sweet bananas. “Come on, Miko, like me!” he said, walking slowly on two legs.
Miko tried again, taking a few shaky steps before tumbling down. But he was determined. Day after day, Bao guided him, holding his tiny hands for balance. The villagers watched in amazement as Miko improved.
One morning, Bao stood a few feet away, holding a ripe mango. “Come to me, Miko!”
Miko hesitated, then straightened his little back. One step. Two steps. Three!
The villagers gasped as Miko wobbled toward Bao, walking fully upright.
“He did it!” Bao cheered, hugging him.
From that day on, Miko pranced around the village like a little human, delighting everyone. Though he was still a monkey at heart, he had learned something special—the power of patience and love.
And Bao? He gained a friend for life.
