Koy, the tiniest and most expressive baby monkey in the family, was in full drama mode this morning. Her tiny belly grumbled as she anxiously scanned the room for Mom. She had been waiting for what felt like forever—five minutes to her—and patience was not her strongest trait.
Sitting in her cozy corner, Koy suddenly let out a loud, high-pitched call, her mouth wide open, almost as if she was trying to shout across the entire house. “Mom! Milk! Now!” her cries seemed to demand.
When Mom didn’t appear right away, Koy’s performance intensified. She hopped in place, waving her tiny hands and letting out even louder cries, her big round eyes glistening with determination.
Finally, Mom entered the room with a warm bottle of milk in hand. Koy’s little face lit up like a sunrise. She scrambled over as fast as her tiny legs could carry her, her big mouth still calling out in excitement.
As soon as Mom brought the bottle closer, Koy latched onto it like her life depended on it. Her tiny hands clutched the bottle tightly, and she drank with the focus of someone who’d just won the lottery.
Mom chuckled, brushing a strand of fur off Koy’s head. “You’re such a little performer, Koy,” she said lovingly.
With her tummy full and her hunger tantrum behind her, Koy finally calmed down. She curled up in Mom’s arms, her earlier cries replaced by soft, happy snores. Mom smiled, knowing that her little one’s big personality was what made her so lovable.
