It was a bright, crisp morning when Sunny, the tiny baby monkey, arrived at his new home. His soft fur was still a bit ruffled, and his wide, curious eyes darted around as he clung tightly to Mom’s arm. Mom, however, looked a little unsure. This was her first time caring for such a small, delicate creature, and she wanted everything to be perfect.
Sunny squeaked softly, his tiny fingers reaching out as if asking for comfort. Mom quickly realized he was hungry, but preparing milk for a baby monkey was not as simple as she’d thought. She fumbled with the milk powder and water, worrying about getting the temperature just right. “Is it too hot? Too cold? Oh, Sunny, I hope I’m doing this right,” she muttered nervously.
Finally, she offered the bottle to Sunny, who grabbed it eagerly. His small hands held onto it tightly as he drank, his eyes closing in contentment. Mom watched, her heart melting at the sight. “At least I got this part right,” she whispered with a smile.
Next came bath time, which proved to be a bigger challenge. Sunny wasn’t too sure about the water and squirmed, letting out a series of high-pitched squeals. Mom, panicking slightly, tried to calm him, gently splashing the water and speaking softly. After a few minutes, Sunny seemed to relax, and Mom felt a small sense of triumph.
As the day went on, Mom grew more confident. Sunny played a little, napped in her lap, and even gave her a mischievous look when he climbed onto the sofa. Mom laughed, realizing that despite her initial confusion, she was already forming a bond with the little monkey.
“Maybe I’ll be okay at this after all,” she said, stroking Sunny’s soft fur as he drifted off to sleep.
