The sun was high in the sky, casting warm golden rays over the quiet garden where little monkey Lion sat. Lion was a curious and lively little monkey, but today he seemed unusually patient. He perched on a low stone wall, his tail swaying as he waited for the man to return with lunch.
The garden buzzed with life—birds chirped in the trees, and tiny ants marched diligently along the ground, carrying bits of leaves and crumbs. Lion, unaware of the industrious ants below, dangled his tiny feet over the edge of the wall. His soft, fur-covered toes accidentally brushed against the ants’ path.
Suddenly, Lion jumped with a sharp squeak! A few ants had crawled onto his feet, their tiny bites surprising him. Lion’s big, round eyes filled with confusion and discomfort as he tried to shake them off. He hopped in circles, waving his little paws to remove the persistent insects.
Just as Lion was about to cry, the man arrived, holding a basket of fruits and milk. Noticing Lion’s distress, he knelt beside the little monkey and gently inspected his feet. “Oh no, Lion,” the man said softly, brushing off the remaining ants. “You found the ants’ highway, didn’t you?”
He quickly cleaned Lion’s tiny bites with a damp cloth from his pocket and blew softly on the sore spots. Lion sniffled but calmed down as the man patted his head reassuringly.
To cheer him up, the man offered a juicy slice of mango from the basket. Lion’s eyes lit up as he took the fruit and happily nibbled away, forgetting all about the ants.
From that day on, Lion learned to keep his feet far from the ants’ busy paths.
