Tiny Yuri was having a very dramatic morning. He had been sitting peacefully near Mommy until little Minea came over and settled beside them. At first, Yuri watched her quietly, but after a few moments, his expression began to change.
He looked at Minea.
Then he looked at Mommy.
Then he looked back at Minea.
Yuri clearly wanted Mommy’s attention all to himself.
“Mommy…” he cried softly.
Mommy smiled. “What is it, Yuri?”
Yuri reached toward Minea and made a frustrated little sound. He seemed to be asking Mommy to move Minea somewhere else.
Mommy gently shook her head.
“No, sweetheart. Minea can stay here too.”
Yuri couldn’t believe it.
His little eyes became wide, and his face immediately turned into the most dramatic expression imaginable.
“Eeeee! Eeeee!”
He turned away from Mommy and crossed his tiny arms, acting as though Mommy had committed the greatest betrayal in the world.
Mommy laughed softly.
“Oh, Yuri! Are you jealous?”
Yuri gave another angry squeak and refused to look at her.
He wanted Minea to leave.
Mommy stayed calm and made sure both little monkeys were comfortable and safely supervised. She didn’t force them to interact. Instead, she gave Yuri some space while gently reassuring him.
“You don’t have to be upset, little one. Mommy has enough love for both of you.”
Yuri glanced at her.
Then he looked at Minea again.
His expression was still grumpy.
He made one tiny complaining sound before turning his face away once more.
Mommy held out her hand.
“Come here if you want a cuddle.”
Yuri hesitated.
He clearly wanted Mommy’s attention, but his pride was still getting in the way.
After a few seconds, he slowly crawled closer.
Mommy smiled.
“There you are.”
Yuri immediately leaned against her and wrapped his tiny arms around her. His angry expression began to soften, although he still occasionally glanced toward Minea as if keeping an eye on the competition.
Mommy gently stroked his head.
“You don’t have to make Minea go away to be loved, sweetheart.”
Yuri looked up at her.
His eyes became softer.
Minea remained nearby, and Mommy continued giving both babies gentle attention.
After a while, Yuri finally relaxed. He even became curious about Minea again, carefully watching her instead of demanding that she leave.
Mommy smiled proudly.
“That’s much better, Yuri.”
Yuri gave a tiny squeak and rested his head against Mommy.
His dramatic anger had disappeared.
He had wanted Mommy all to himself, but he was slowly learning that sharing her attention didn’t mean losing her love.
Mommy kissed his little head.
“You’ll always have a special place in Mommy’s heart.”
Yuri cuddled closer, finally peaceful again.
And little Minea remained safely nearby—no longer the rival Yuri had imagined, but simply another little companion sharing Mommy’s care.
