It was a peaceful morning when Mom prepared a fresh bottle of milk for little Luna.
She sat comfortably on a soft blanket and held the bottle out with a warm smile.
“Come on, Luna. It’s milk time.”
But Luna had completely different plans.
The moment she saw the bottle, she turned her tiny face away.
Mom tried again.
“Are you not hungry, sweetheart?”
Luna shook her head and made a stubborn little sound.
Then, suddenly, she crawled away.
Mom was surprised.
“Luna! Where are you going?”
Luna continued moving across the soft floor as quickly as her tiny legs could carry her.
She seemed determined to escape the bottle.
Dad watched from nearby and laughed softly.
“Someone definitely doesn’t want her milk right now.”
Luna looked back at Mom for a moment, then continued crawling away.
But she was moving too quickly.
Her tiny feet became tangled beneath her.
Suddenly, she lost her balance and gently tumbled forward onto the soft padded surface.
Mom immediately hurried over.
“Oh, Luna!”
She carefully checked her and comforted her.
Luna looked startled by the unexpected tumble.
Her stubborn expression disappeared, replaced by a confused little face.
Mom gently picked her up and held her close.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. Mommy’s here.”
Luna rested against Mom’s chest while Mom calmly made sure she was comfortable.
Dad smiled with relief.
“That was quite an adventure just to avoid one bottle.”
Mom laughed softly.
“I think Luna has made her opinion very clear.”
She didn’t force the milk.
Instead, Mom gave Luna time to settle down and watched her carefully.
After a few minutes, Luna became calm again.
Mom offered the bottle once more.
This time, Luna looked at it curiously.
She didn’t immediately run away.
Mom smiled.
“That’s better. We can take it slowly.”
Luna eventually accepted a little milk, taking her time while staying safely in Mom’s arms.
Mom gently stroked her head.
“See? No need to run away.”
Luna gave a tiny squeak as if she disagreed.
Dad laughed.
“She’s still a little troublemaker.”
Afterward, Luna rested peacefully against Mom.
Her earlier escape attempt seemed completely forgotten.
Mom kissed her forehead.
“You can tell Mommy when you don’t want something, but you have to stay somewhere safe.”
Luna slowly closed her eyes.
The dramatic morning had finally come to an end.
For Mom, the most important thing wasn’t whether Luna finished her bottle—it was making sure her little explorer stayed safe while learning to express what she wanted.
