The afternoon air had suddenly become cooler than usual.

Little A Tong sat quietly on a soft blanket, waiting for Mom to bring his warm clothes.

He had just finished getting cleaned up, and his little body was no longer wrapped in his cozy outfit.

At first, A Tong didn’t seem bothered.

He looked around curiously and waited patiently.

Mom had stepped into another room to find his clean clothes.

“Just a moment, sweetheart,” she called.

A Tong waited.

A few more moments passed.

Still no Mom.

The cool breeze gently moved through the room.

A Tong began rubbing his tiny hands together.

His little body started to shiver.

He looked toward the doorway with worried eyes.

“Mama…”

His voice was soft and pleading.

He wanted his warm outfit.

He hugged his little arms around himself and waited.

But Mom was still searching through the clothes basket.

A Tong’s tiny body shivered again.

He let out a small unhappy moan.

“Eee… eee…”

Dad noticed him and quickly walked over.

“Oh, little A Tong, you’re getting chilly.”

He gently placed a soft blanket around the baby while calling for Mom.

“Mommy, A Tong needs his warm clothes.”

Mom immediately hurried back.

“Oh my goodness, sweetheart! I’m sorry.”

She saw A Tong sitting there shivering beneath the blanket and quickly picked him up.

“I’m here now.”

A Tong immediately pressed his little body against Mom’s chest.

Mom wrapped him tightly in the warm blanket while gently rubbing his back.

His tiny fingers grabbed onto her shirt.

“I know you’re cold,” she whispered. “Mommy should have been faster.”

A Tong gave a tiny whimper but slowly began to relax.

Mom quickly found his soft, warm outfit and carefully dressed him.

Once he was comfortably covered, his little body stopped trembling.

He looked much happier.

Mom kissed his forehead.

“There we go. Nice and warm.”

Dad smiled.

“That outfit came just in time.”

A Tong looked up at Mom with sleepy eyes.

Mom hugged him close and gently rocked him.

“I’m sorry I kept you waiting, my precious boy.”

A Tong rested his head against her shoulder.

His tiny hands remained wrapped around her shirt as though he wanted to make sure Mom stayed close.

After a few minutes, Mom offered him a warm bottle.

He drank peacefully while cuddled safely against her.

His little tummy became full, his body felt warm again, and his worried expression disappeared.

Soon, A Tong gave a tiny yawn.

Mom gently stroked his head.

“Next time, Mommy won’t keep you waiting so long.”

A Tong closed his eyes and snuggled closer.

Within minutes, he drifted peacefully to sleep in Mom’s warm embrace.

Mom looked down at her sleeping little boy and smiled.

Sometimes babies can’t explain what they need with words.

They simply shiver, cry, reach for Mommy, and trust someone to understand.

And for A Tong, nothing felt better than being warm, comfortable, and safely wrapped in the loving arms of Mom.
